• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Bobby Wales To Sign

Bear in mind we went 4-1-4-1 in several games under Sheehan, so at times we may play with two 10s behind Vipotnik. My guess is that Eom, Cullen and Wales will be competing for those two places, with Franco anchoring the midfield.

    Bobby Wales To Sign

According to Transfermarkt Wales has Irish citizenship, so presumably could play for ROI as well as Scotland. His main position is as a striker, although it's not clear if that's a 9 or a second striker. He's also played as an AM, RW and in left midfield.

    Eyeballs v stats

So there all these measures of physical development against which Havertz' rehabilitation have been measured and he has exceeded expectations. And the point is? Perhaps he should just have been sent to Margate and told to run and down the beach until he got fit. Who needs all this sports...

    Eyeballs v stats

Eyeballs certainly have their place. Data definitely can't capture some things. Take Eom. My eyeballs tell me he's a class act. Late in the season there were a number of occasions where he left his marker standing with his excellent movement. Having beaten his man the quality of the resulting...

    Eyeballs v stats

My first reaction to a match is always emotional, which I sometimes regret on reflection. But that's the nature of the beast. The analysis generally comes later. If that isn't your cup of tea that's fine, we're all different. I like to have my preconceptions challenged by information, whether...

I wonder if Low may be announced as a signing imminently, now that Wycombe will stay in League One.

Expected assists 6.63. Another victim of our woeful finishing. Only Luton had a bigger difference between goals scored and expected. We need a clinical finisher apart from Cullen.

Expected assists: Solomon 10.3, Tymon 9.4, Josh Murphy 9.4, Dan James and Max Bird 8.7.

    Eyeballs v stats

I noticed early on this season that Tymon had very good expected assists stats and therefore paid particularly close attention to his efforts from then on. And what my eyeballs revealed were a steady stream of excellent crosses that were begging to be buried, which Vipotnik, Bianchini, Ronald...

    Wrecsam

I seem to recall seeing an article suggesting Ben was on nearly £100,000 a week, or £5 million a year. May be nonsense, but not inconceivable. If true, I imagine Wrexham would have to offer in the region of £50,000 a week to compete with lower PL teams, and offer him a 3 year contract. If they...

    Wrecsam

I assume you mean the Welsh Ben Davies, rather than the Rangers one. Signing our Ben would be a massive statement of intent by Wrexham.

    Grimes...

Grimes' greatest strengths based only on what I've seen are his range of passing and technical ability, both of which are Premier League level, but that's totally subjective. That highlights reel from the Potter season and Cooper's first demonstrate that in abundance. Defensively Grimes is just...

Fotmob doesn't express an opinion it merely presents stats collated by Opta. Sofascore and the BBC do similar. What significance you attach to those stats is up to the individual. If you're not interested in stats fair enough, but then you're not in a position to comment on them one way or the...

Are you expecting me to collate my own stats? Why does it matter who collates them?

I've offered plenty of my own thoughts on the subject of Grimes. Those thoughts are grounded in facts and reality.

    Kukharevych

Scored again tonight. Has shown decent form in the last few games. Shooting and defensive stats are decent, passing ones less so. If nothing else perhaps his 7 goals will attract some interest.

Since when are facts optimistic or pessimistic? Facts are facts. What you make of those facts is another matter. This is the corrosive effect that Trump has had on public discourse.
