    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    I'm interested in facts, not looking selectively for evidence to fit an agenda. To illustrate the point 20.3 per cent of O'Brien's passes were backwards and 27.5 per cent forwards. If you focus exclusively on the backwards passes you see a backwards passing player.

    I didn't see the match, but Grimes' 21 passes into the final third was more than twice as many as any other midfielder on either side. The highly acclaimed Bellingham had 7. I wonder which Swansea player those brown tinted specs will be applied to next season.

    A very good point. There's only so many human interest stories in a town of 55,000. I've enjoyed watching Welcome to Wrexham but it's getting a bit jaded. How will they sustain interest long term?

    As it happens his expected goal tally this season was 6. Shows he's at least getting the opportunities. Now he's got 3 (all excellent in different ways) he will hopefully be more composed in front of goal. I'd be happy for Vipotnik to stay, but equally I would be happy for him to leave for £4...

    Yes, there's more than a whiff of Martinezitis with the bitterness of some of the posts. Given how many disliked his style of playing (nothing wrong with that) you would think people would be overjoyed with his departure and wish him well.

    I've seen him play for Wales U21s and he's impressed. Whether he's up to Darling's level immediately is a moot point. We could do with an experienced Centre half to go alongside Cabango, with Low and Widell as understudies.

    Happy to oblige. 7.2 average Fotmob rating, which is very good. Good all round stats. Best in league for aerial duels and blocks. Also very good long ball accuracy. Tackling stats a bit weak (although duels good), as is his pass accuracy. Touches in opposition box good, and also chances...

People understandably identify Grimes with the slow buildup style under Martin and to a lesser extent under Williams. That's partly fair, because a more deliberate style matches Grimes' attributes well, but...

    Fair does, I forgot to scroll all the way down to the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons. His next full season was with Northampton in 2017/18.

    Interesting that in the 2019/20 (Cooper's first) Grimes won a DM league best 76 tackles and won the most duels. A similar story the previous season under Potter. The drop in tackles in more recent seasons may largely be a result of us having more of the ball.
