    All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

    Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

    It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

    The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

    I thought he was really unlucky to not play more and looked decent whenever he did, but he’s been in and out of the Leyton Orient side who are in a relegation battle in League 1. Wouldn’t be against signing him if he’s available reasonably cheap - guess that’ll depend if West Ham stay up or not.

    I’m sure I read he’s the only outfield player in the whole of the EFL to have played every minute. I know Ash played 46 games in his 3 seasons in the Championship with us but it’s becoming less and less common.

    The days of just being able to add 2/3 starters to a promoted team and then fleshing out the squad (like we did) seem long gone. Sunderland pretty much bought an entirely new starting XI this summer.

    Well, quite. Tbf I’d imagine the ‘scouting/analysis’ side of it has all been completed though and it’s more a case of agreeing terms with clubs and players over the next few months based on the shortlists that have been complied for each position.

    I don’t really pay any attention to non-football staff at other clubs, but we seem to go through a hell of a lot of high paid staff. Seems to be a big turnover every 12-18 months which can’t be good in terms of medium/long-term planning.

    Tbf the 1st & 2nd choice keepers were both injured, but it seems pretty incredible that he’s still 3rd choice…although then you look at the 3rd choice keepers for Wales & Scotland it’s maybe not so strange 🤣

    I’m in this boat too. His biggest mistake IMO was the chopping and changing between goalkeepers which probably cost us 5-10 points. Suggesting a team that was based largely around 6/7 players that had little to no experience of senior football ‘should have’ made the playoffs is rewriting...
