Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Likewise on the 1st part. They’re not for me but I do understand how they’re picking up those votes.
Sadly, the people who are struggling atm (whether that’s financially or otherwise) will probably find out the hard way that promises made in sound bites mean little in reality.
I do understand...
I don’t quite understand why you’d vote for a party that’s going to decrease taxes and as a result the NHS budget if that’s your concern, but obviously everyone gets to make their own decision - that’s the beauty of democracy.
I do understand ‘middle classes’ who are on decent salaries and...
1st result in (Casnewydd Islwyn)
Reform 2
Plaid 2
Labour 1
Conservative 1
Was very tight between Tories and Reform getting the 6th
(I’m not doing this for all 16 btw! 😅)
Always seemed likely to me with Watts out on loan in Ireland until November and talk of Margetson junior leaving.
If there’s not an academy keeper ready to play senior football at the club then this is pretty standard across the league.
You’d be very unlucky to not win a seat with 13% I agree, but if the current projections that I posted on the other thread are correct you could even pick one up with as little as 10% in some areas.
I guess we’ll all know in less than 48 hours 👍
The samples will be so small in each area that I’d take it with a pinch of salt… but this suggests Plaid 3, Reform 2, Conservatives 1

I’d be amazed if Plaid got near the 38-39% of the vote that’s being...
Not sure where you’ve got that figure from but it’ll likely be different in each of the 16 constituencies.
The 5th and 6th seats in each area are going to be incredibly tight based on the polling.
Link below shows how the 6 seats are allocated...
I think you’re probably correct that many of those at ground level including the newly elected councillors don’t have a strategy, but I think it’s very naive to suggest that Farage and those funding the party don’t know exactly what they’re doing both now and in 2016.
I’m pretty certain that they did it in 2021 too (although that might have been linked to Covid)
Makes more sense to me. Likely to get more engagement on TV and other media when the results are coming out and I’d imagine easier to get people to do the counting etc at a sensible hour the next day.
FYI

Was going to type something, but bored myself doing it so people can just read from the link if they want to lol
I’d imagine they’d try to avoid that (a formal coalition), purely from an optics point of view if nothing else.
As with any country with PR you’ll be relying on other parties to vote through certain policies over the 4 year term though, as the whole point is that you get an outcome that greater...
Agree with all of that.
The lack of jeopardy in the group stage with 48 teams is a shame (similar to going from 16 to 24 in the Euros in fairness) as I can see there being a lot of dead rubbers/teams being happy with a draw in the 3rd match.
I think it's partly down to age and nostalgia in fairness. The saturation of football TV probably plays a part for some people too, as even 20 years ago seeing that number of games in consecutive days was unique and we hadn't seen many of the players before.
1986 & 1990 are the first two I...
