• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Rochdale v York

Definitely not in the National League. I don’t think it’s in League 1 or 2 either atm. Sure I read they’re looking at bringing it into League 1 next season.

    Oooooh

I think we’d definitely have had 7/8 more points and have been in the mix. I guess Norwich would definitely say the same about Clement as well though.

And the rest - almost 50 years. Just gone through the David Farmer book from 2000 and Alan Curtis was the last to get 25+ with 32 league goals in 1977-78

Jason Scotland in league 1 I’d guess? Edit: looks like he only got 24 in the league

Absolutely brutal way to lose it.

Just posted on the Lower League thread the same thing. Incredible end. The Rochdale fans who piled on the pitch leading to even more added time must be regretting it 🤣

That Rochdale v York finish is up there with Jimmy Glass for Carlisle back in the day!

With the remaining fixtures I think Norwich may well fancy their chances of finishing 6th. Be very pleasantly surprised if we get anything this afternoon.

    Football Focus ending

Hasn’t been part of my routine for at least 25 years. With clubs doing so much of their own magazine style media I’m surprised it’s lasted this long tbf.

    Ospreys

WRU have confirmed two more seasons with 4 regions so I assume that means the redevelopment of St Helen’s will go ahead in the hope they’ll be playing there next season. After then, who knows! On the pitch, Cardiff winning means they’ll likely make the top 8 playoffs and qualify for the...

    West Brom

Very unlikely with the form they’re in and the fact they’ve got their Sheffield Wednesday 3point voucher to play on the last day of the season. Charlton on the other hand 🤞

Not against brining in a couple of players with significant Championship experience but not sure it fits with the general recruitment model, and there’s the wage issue as well. Interesting to see what type of players we target this summer after Matos’ comments in the week.

This is a fair point and I do think there is probably too much of a fixation on individuals output in terms of goals and assists. Obviously it's important when recruiting players, but the far more important thing is the number of goals scored by the team as a whole. We're 10-15 goals away from...
