• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Our Scandinavian recruits have been a let down so far, I think we should shop in a different market.

Yes, we are slowing the play down when we have got in good positions allowing them to get numbers back.

I would have liked to have seen the lines out for that offside goal, the last Ipswich defender looked level with Widdell.

The midfield trio doesn't look the right mix tonight. Too much like Alan Sheehan football tonight passing around the back with no purpose.

I personally think we can go on a run for the play offs, I think we will be one of the fitter teams come the end of the season with our squad depth. The Championship is a very poor league this season.

I am being greedy with right back, but we badly need a right winger and a no.10. We need more goals outside of Viptopnik.

We are only 3 players short of being a promotion chasing team. Right back, right winger and No.10. Early days yet, but Matos is looking a very good appointment. I am actually enjoying watching us play now.

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

Hopefully I am wrong, but there hasn't been anything of real quality so far for me. So far there is only glimpses of beating players in non threatening areas. He should have been starting today though.

Unfortunately he is a very bad buy, simply not good enough. I don't buy into that he will get better, he's beyond improving. You can't coach him to shoot and cross at 23, by that age he has either got it or he ain't. I would even put him a few levels below Bianchini.

What are we really expecting from Matos....

To be honest, I don't think the players are capable of playing a different way. I've can't believe the amount of times I tut when players can't get the basics right from trapping the ball, first touch, simple passes going to stray, wingers taking the wrong options all the time and the...

    Ollie Cooper

Not good enough at this level.

    Yalcouye and widdel

They are too similar for me and would only have room for one of them in my midfield, in my ideal world I would like a playmaker type midfielder that pulls the strings along side a defensive midfielder and a box to box midfielder.

    This is nice to read

All encouraging signs, the buzz is starting to return for me. I still haven't ruled out a play off push, if there is movement in the next transfer window.

    Matos

I feel we are only a couple of players away from pushing to the play offs, a new right back and right winger. Key needs to replaced and Ronald/Inoussa are not good enough for me. I am a big critic of EOM, but he has got better under Matos and he's clearly ahead of the others technically, but all...

Excellent pressing tonight, we looking like a team that starting to know what we are doing.

I agree, he looks like a Sunday league footballer to me when he gets into action area's. I would have no confidence in him scoring a 5 yard open goal. Hopefully he will prove me wrong, but I think the script will be, hooked at the 60-65 mins mark with no impact.
