• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Farage pocketed £5 million in cryptocurrency

Quite a lot of articles suggesting a net worth of £7-10m but when you read the articles it talks about salaries of £100-200k p.a. which doesn’t make much sense. Not that I care what politicians are worth either mind. Judge them on actions irrespective of where they’ve come from.

    Harlan Perry signs contract

I’d be very surprised if there are any 17/18 year olds at a professional clubs academy without one.

    Permanent Signings 25/26

Agree with almost all of that 👍 Many will mark Burgess down, but whilst he’s not been the upgrade I was hoping for he’s definitely not been the disaster that some make out. Played every minute in front of a keeper with the 4th most clean sheets in the league and showed durability and...

    Loan Players 25/26

Casey & Smith did what was asked of them - both unfortunate that Cabango, Burgess & Tymon hardly missed a minute all season. Personally, I’d rather back our own youngsters moving forward but if either of those were available cheap/free then I wouldn’t say no if the manager wanted them as both...

    Glamorgan Cricket 2026

If they can get them 2/3 down again by the close it’ll be just about the perfect 3 days of cricket.

    Josh Key

Easy from the outside but I think it was a man management issue, as it was clear to anyone watching on matchdays that he needed a break and time out of the team/squad. Surprised, as this time last year I’d have said that was one of Sheehan’s strengths but not taking Key out of the firing line...

Would be more than happy with that, but I’d imagine Leeds would be keen to recoup a chunk of the transfer fee they paid and there’d be no shortage of takers in the Championship or abroad, based on his record in the second tier.

***SATURDAY*** Swans Superstore Super Sale!!! Be There or Be Square!

Someone (inside or outside of the club) will come up with the excuse that all stock will end up selling out anyway, but it’s not good enough and very short sighted. You’ve got to make it a positive experience, especially for kids, to make them want to go back - exactly the same with the...

Less worried about Idah being 1st choice as I think he’s capable of getting 15+ goals. Key point, if Vipotnik is sold, is who we get in as second choice. Needs to be someone capable of regularly playing 20/30 minutes as a loan striker and starting some games in the 3-game weeks.

We were safe from relegation on...

For a team with nothing to play for we’ve done very well to get 11 points from the last 6 matches, when most teams are pretty inconsistent. Some positives individually and collectively over that run of games that many weren’t expecting.

I’d like to see him playing centrally too, but if we persist with the current set up of a 6 and two 8s in midfield I could see Matos playing him on the left with a licence to roam a bit from there.

First half was a typical end of season game but second half was very enjoyable. Great for Idah to get a couple and beauty of a free kick to finish the season. Be interesting to see how Matos can get Walta into the team and get the maximum out of him next season - clearly has loads of ability...

    JackArmy.net - Twenty-Five Years And Out

I’m in the same boat I think - trying the other site. Having given up on social media and moved from an avid reader of this forum to a contributor, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all my interactions on here, so was hoping to get similar over there next season.
