Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Hard to judge and obviously nobody knows for certain, but he’s scored 4 this year in the equivalent minutes of less than 8 full matches according to this site

Vipotnik might be the only striker to get 20 league goals in...
I understand your point but does it matter when the wins come? If we’d been top at Xmas but then fallen away in those seasons it doesn’t make us a top 2 side. You are what you finish at the end of the season, and we’ve been a mid-table side (never finished 16th or lower) over the last 4 seasons...
3rd most clean sheets in the league. Whoever signed off on him deserves a huge amount of credit - in part Luke Williams as he’d worked with him before I’d imagine.
I think his age counts in our favour. If he was playing like he has for us in his early/mid 20s he’d easily be playing games at PL...
Agree on the ‘deadwood’ part, but we do have 27/28 players aged 21+ under contract next year.
I see that as positive, as I don’t think we need this overhaul that some are calling for, but we will need to offload quite a few (and it’s partly why I think we’ll have to sell one of our assets) if...
I hope that won’t be the case in terms of having to sell both…Watch this space I guess.
I agree with the second part. The likes of Congreve, Lissah et al who are out on loan are 21/22. They’re not kids.
Having them in the squad instead of ‘senior’ players on much higher wages or loans who...
Unfortunately that’s got nothing to with it - unless they’re going to do what the Coates family did at Stoke - which I assume is highly unlikely.
We must be reasonably close to the £42m? allowed losses in 3 seasons if we lost close to half of that in the most recent accounts.
Unfortunately, we’ll definitely have to sell at least one player for a decent fee if we want to bring in 2/3 starters.
Well, alternatively we could go in with a much smaller squad than this season and rely on youngsters on low wages for positions 19-25 in the 1st team squad but we’ve shown no...
Take any win away. Good to see Parker & Walta getting some decent minutes. Be good to finish off the season with a couple of better performances, but maybe that’s a bit greedy at this stage in the season.
Leicester in big trouble with Oxford & Portsmouth both winning.
Not sure about the initial details of the signing but Jenkins ended up playing much of that season at left back with Lyttle playing every league game.
Big money sale back in the day at £375k as well 🤣
In terms of performances for us, then Rangel is the best right back we’ve had in my supporting days (since the late 80s) by quite a long way.
Honourable mention to Des Lyttle for that one season mind!
Whatever you think about their business, you can't fault the Coates family for the amount they've supported the club financially over the years.
The issue is what happens further down the line, and whether they end up like Blackburn and Wigan if future generations don't want to continue to...
Just Dickson from Somerset (to replace Northeast) and a variety of overseas players over the course of the summer.
Ins: Sean Dickson (Somerset)
Outs: Sam Northeast (Kent), Tom Bevan (released), James Harris (retired)
Overseas players: Colin Ingram (South Africa), Ryan Hadley (Australia -...
Repeating myself on here but thought for a while that Southampton will get promoted.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see them finish 3rd and even second isn’t out of the question if they win out, especially as they’ve got Ipswich at home left.
I think it’s pretty clear what’s changed and what we’re trying to do without the ball.
We’re pressing much higher - specifically the two 8s, along with the opposite side winger pinching in to try and crowd the opposition and either win the ball back in the opposition half or force them to go...
I agree with this. My only caution would be that I thought the same about Sheehan this time last year compared to the post Christmas Luke Williams team.
I think/hope that the difference this year is the manager appears to have a longer term plan, albeit it’ll require some good recruitment and...
Tbf it was poor communication from Drakeford (no surprise) and poor reporting from the Welsh media (again no surprise).
His point was correct. If Reform & the Tories don’t get over 50% of the seats (which they’re very very unlikely to do) between them, then they won’t be able to form a...
