I was looking for the laughing emoji too. Whatever happens with Dimi though one thing is for sure is that he is infinitely determined, and as a swans fan he is a stakeholder. His love of Cooperesque winning football and metrics at all cost doesn’t quite tally up with the PR about players...

Cheer up, we’ve got all summer to fuck it up.

    Harry Darling …

I thought Wrexham might be an option for Darling. Everyone says they need Championship experience and Darling fits the bill perfectly, and they could offer him a huge chunk of change on a free.

    Fulton

What he has to offer is being a dependable squad player, and he can only be replaced by like for like, someone towards the end of their career, or someone developed by the club. Buying a first choice midfielder is not replacing Jay Fulton.

    Fulton

It was only to make a point that players coming on late in get the shit end of the stick, and some more than others. Fulton coming on is often the right sub, if you have to make a sub. Joe Allen as a starter would be a whole other conversation and something that would excite rather than worry me.

    Fulton

Thank you. My clumsy comparison has started another debate on a point that I wasn’t trying to make.

    Fulton

I know there’s positives, I wasn’t having a go at Joe but he’s struggled, hence hanging up his boots.
  10. Itchysphincter

    Fulton

I’m not making it Joe v Jay and regret making the comparison because I love Joe, but my point is kinda proven anyway in that Jay is unfairly maligned whilst others escape the same critique.

    Fulton

I haven’t looked to be sure but we often conceded when Joe came on in the last couple of years. Not criticising Joe but he’s had no more impact than Jay recently.

It’s a point of view. You’ll always need players to play a few minutes here and there. I’d rather use all available finance to improve the first 11 and look within to push Fulton. If you want to spunk good money on replacing Fulton you’re throwing good money after ….. guff. 👍

    Harry Darling …

If he’s dragging his heels my guess would be Bristol City. Seems to me he’s doing an Andy Robinson - didn’t he do something similar hoping to sign for Leeds if they got promoted but the club forced his hand so he signed for them and they didn’t get promoted. I might be misremembering that but...

    Fulton

Players that play a few minutes here and there will never out perform players in the starting 11. They’ll never be as match sharp and it will take time to get performance levels up, it’s apples and oranges and you can’t expect the same levels. As far as implying he’s a liability, lets look at...

    Fulton

We should be developing our own players who can step into the Fulton role, and then push on to regular if/when they’re good enough. Buying a player to replace someone to take Fulton’s place in the squad is buying someone who is either not good enough to play for their current team, or someone...

    Fulton

Team Fulton. I’ve said this many times but if you get rid of a reliable soldier like Fulton, who is probably going to play less than 50% of the time, then you have to replace him. So you are not replacing a first team regular but spending good money on transfers plus wages on a new player who...

I didn’t doubt Wales will go full on Reform and, double down….. and way you say ‘going the way of Trump’s USA’, I’d say we started it with Brexit and UKIP really, and Trump picked up the ball and ran with it. He doesn’t even know where he goalposts are but our lot are running like fuck to...
