Things that annoy you more than they should

People who attend gigs and decide to film the thing on their phone. Absolute bladders

    Martin - please god, NO!!

Yep. Shouldn’t even be discussed. But some are absolutely obsessed with the geezer

Good post. The problem has been the gradual erosion of what made us successful. It was never being pragmatic and favouring “direct” football. When the swans have followed the latter path it has invariably led to disaster. Passing football is in our dna. The problem has been the idea keeping...

That last paragraph is key. He does have experience even if it’s in a relatively easier environment. Sheehan was much more of a punt than someone who has five years success as a manager. I can’t pretend I know much about him but I’m definitely more optimistic. It does feel more fresh than...

100% it’ll be a done deal I’m sure. But obviously legally they have to be careful.

Can we afford not to? I’ll repeat. It’s FAR more costly to overhaul your squad every year, pay compensation. Then you have the opportunity costs of missed gate receipts, television revenue etc. We have to stop viewing an appointment as a high cost. We should look at it through a ROI.

It’s certainly interesting I don’t know how that could really work in practice but it’s definitely interesting. You’d probably have to structure something like that based on a performance related angle. Almost like a clean sheet bonus. Any additional revenue they would get a cut of that...

    SHEEHAN SACKED

Good post. Completely agree with your sentiments. I’ve always been frustrated by this type of supporter. They are of course entitled to their viewpoint but the way they have this weird sense of superiority when they are so often wrong is quite bizarre. As you say I sincerely hope we get it...

    SHEEHAN SACKED

No joy in this whatsoever. He wasnt the right man for the job. He didn’t want it and he served us well. I’m grateful for the efforts he has put in. He’ll do a good job elsewhere as an assistant or potentially in L2 as a manager. Good luck Alan.

Okay that does it the usual suspects don’t want him. Therefore he’s the right man for the job. Your “laptop manager” comment too jeez. I bet you love a bit of “passion” This is an insane idea but employing someone with no experience was a great idea. Listen to yourself old boy.

    Poll, Sheehan In/Out/More Time

“It’s not about a “proven” manager. I’m interested to know what Sheehans ambitions are for building the club from the bottom up. Is he good at identifying players? Does he have the contacts? Is the bounce related to brilliant management or simply a buzz returning to dressing room and also...

    Poll, Sheehan In/Out/More Time

We have another Russell Martin mention. Another missing his flowing handsome locks. I suppose it’s pointless saying you assume wrong.

    Poll, Sheehan In/Out/More Time

“Based on his results during both previous caretaker spells you do have to wonder just how things have gone South so quickly now. At the very least then he looked like he could organise a side and pick players in roles that suit them” It’s very very easy to understand why this has turned out to...

I think he was a Duff appointee

    We want Sheehan out

I think the ones who bring him up pine for his flowing locks and charisma. They are obsessed with him name. Like a bitter ex who won’t let it go.

There's a trend here we have to break for the future

Someone finally gets it!!!! That is precisely the point. We have changed personnel but we haven’t ultimately changed. We’ve been moving the deckchairs on the titanic. We had to move on last year. We’ve completely lost our way. Which has led to the derision of the so called “Swansea way”...

    We want Sheehan out

What is this constant obsession with Russell Martin? What is the point of a question “would you take Russell Martin back?” Utterly pointless, designed once again to deflect realities. Martin was ultimately unsuccessful because he was too ideological and wouldn’t bend. He failed we move on...

    We want Sheehan out

I think it’s called make your bed and lie in it. Vast majority were actively pushing for him to be appointed.

The difference a manager can make.

Thanks, appreciate this post. I know there’s a common denominator. Like I said previously and I haven’t changed on this. I was hoping Sheehan would prove me wrong. In the end I want was is best for the swans as we all do. I was certain that this would happen and Sheehan was not the right...
