Only a loan deal.

Why would we do that?

Olivier Ntcham is interesting a number of French clubs after failing to nail down a first team spot at Swansea. The midfielder joined to much fanfare on a free transfer from Celtic last summer but has often flattered to deceive with his first season at the club blighted by fitness issues. You could...

God knows. Wage saving is the only thing I can think of.

He doesn't seem interested when he plays.

Maybe it's a case that if his salary is covered we can get someone else in.

If his loan spell goes well his sale value goes up, Imo from very little at the moment

Players not interested in paying for a rookie manager who is putting their careers in reverse. Seems fair.

Could well be the case, but if anyone is playing for our team I want them to show personal pride even if restricted by tactics.

Easy for you to say. They can try and their best as it comes naturally to a competitive sportsman but the have to follow then manager’s instructions, no point in having a manager otherwise. No one should think that despite performances and results those players are not trying, they are. They’ll also be on the first bus out of here given the chance, and I don’t blame them.

It's always easy to say. 😏

I don't think it's just about instructions. Even his touch seems missing. Maybe he has been worn down but would still expect more by now.

Not that I really give a f*ck but how has he failed to nail down a first team spot at Swansea when he’s started every league game this season?

Well I’m pretty sure if he leaves we will see him have a pretty decent career in top flight football somewhere. Sometimes we have to realise that we are the problem. We are rotten.

This has shades of Paul Clement written all over it. There’s only one inevitable ending to it.

Basically agree with what you say.

Players always have the option of putting in transfer request.

How many do? Loss of loyalty payment etc

My take on Ntcham is that's he's technically a very good player but he's always looked poor starting a game when we are playing pedestrian paced half-asleep football which always seems to be our first half plan. It's just not his game and he often looks lost. All of his best performances have been when he's come on a 2nd half sub when we've been playing at a higher tempo, probably chasing the game or going for a winner, and the faster we play, the better suited he seems to be, occasionally being brilliant. Basically, he needs to be in a team that plays at a higher tempo than we do right from the kick off and if that's never going to be our plan under RM, we will never get the best out of him.

Wasn't in the starting line up at Rotherham and played an average of 41 minutes over 46 league games last season?

Would you call that nailing down a first team slot?

I do apologise I thought he’d started at Rotherham.
