Getting rid of him would be a ridiculous decision. First friendly etc I know, but we need atleast a bit of pace on the flanks and he’s one of the only players with that in his armoury. Sorinola looked very, very sluggish but early days for him.

That ball Ogbeta put in at the end was a beauty of a cross… Obafemi and Piroe would have been all over it

Thought Ogbeta looked decent in all fairness he needs a fair chance

I have a friend who is an ardent Shrewsbury supporter who was very impressed with Ogbeta. He is really rapid and can deliver a cross he is at his best going forward and could provide for our front line. He said he was not the best defensively. However, I feel after last season we need some enterprise to get bums off seats as so much of last year was turgid.

I missed the friendly but this sounds like everything he was about from his two appearances last season.

Quick and great delivery - the only thing we missed at the time was a striker with pace to get ahead of a defender to profit from it. Since then Obafemi has grown into his role at the top of the attack and I think he would benefit hugely from Ogbeta to help supply balls into the box.

Early days but Ogbeta looked sharper and quicker than Sorinola who looked a bit lost last night

Imho.
Ogbeta going would be a huge mistake.
Reckon that lad would do a lot of damage coming on about 60 mins into a game.
Or starting and wearing the defence down.

Can always TRAIN him to defend.
Thought that's why we have a defensive coach.
If a defensive coach can't teach a player to defend, then he's in the wrong job.
Or its a "job for the boys" post
