Histon Striker Danny Wright thinks that the Impington based club can cause another cup shock and beat Championship side Swansea City come Saturday afternoon.

Located just North of Cambridge, the village of Impington came alive with cup fever when League One outfit Leeds United rolled into town. What was to follow was one of the shocks of the FA Cup third round after Postman Matthew Langston’s 39th minute strike downed the Elland Road club.

After drawing with local rivals Cambridge City on boxing day and a 4-1 away win at Gray’s Athletic on the 28th December, the 23 year old striker believes that the squad can go into the game with their heads held high as he told the Cambridge News, he said “ “I thought we were a bit unlucky to only draw against Cambridge United on Boxing Day, so we’re going into the Swansea game with our heads held high.”

For many non league sides the FA Cup maybe daunting but the former Attleborough player is treating the game like every other, he added “ We’re preparing properly for the game and treating it like any other game, so we’ll be confident and hopefully we can get that little bit of luck we’ll need to get a result.”

Admitting Swansea City are another step up from previous opponents Leeds United and Swindon Wright is adamant that the squad will go into the game with a positive attitude to overcome the glaring gulf in league position, he said “Swansea’s another step up from Swindon and Leeds, but we’re not going into the game thinking we’re not capable of beating them.I think we’ve got everything going for us, and a little bit more, to help us win the game and cause another upset.”

The game itself is now not all ticket and both sets of fans can now buy their tickets at the turnstiles which open at 1.00pm.
