The Swansea City goalkeeper will go back to his homeland with the Swans for their pre-season tour as they look to complete their preparations for the season opener at Hull a week on Saturday.<\/p>\n
And he believes that the tour is the perfect tonic for the Swans as they work with their new manager following another summer of change at the Liberty.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the Evening Post, De Vries said "The last time we went there it was a very good week — we learned a lot during that trip and bonded well <\/p>\n
"We have three good workouts in the week, along with the training we will be doing.<\/p>\n
"It is about building momentum and ensuring partnerships between the players get stronger.<\/p>\n
"We have had a couple of new players come in and we are getting used to each other around the pitch.<\/p>\n
"It is a good opportunity to get to know the gaffer more, and the other way round.<\/p>\n
"He has made a very good impression already with the players.<\/p>\n
"So with all that, I think we will be in perfect shape for the start of the season.<\/p>\n
"The big test is against Den Haag," added de Vries, who kept a clean sheet in the weekend friendly win over Cheltenham.<\/p>\n
"It will be great to play at their stadium, particularly with the link between the clubs and supporters.<\/p>\n
"They are in the top level in Holland and have some very strong players.<\/p>\n
"The last time we played them at the Liberty (in 2008) it helped us kick off a great season in the Championship."<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
