One of the things that has struck about the current transfer window is not the lack of action seen from inside the club – that just isn’t a surprise any more – but it is the lack of speculation linking us with a host of players that has usually struck by the middle of January.<\/p>\n
Even when you cast your mind back twelve months to January 2023 and a transfer window that saw us sign nobody there was a host of speculation floating around and seeming interest in many players.\u00a0 \u00a0None of which of course came up to fruition.<\/p>\n
It was said early in the reign of Andy Coleman that he was keen to plug the leaks from the club but even if he has been successful in that front (which he never will be) it does not explain the lack of speculation as more often than not transfer links come from those outside of the club not those inside.<\/p>\n
Agents, representatives, selling clubs and even players themselves like to test waters about moves with some well placed transfer links taking place but this window it has been pretty much quiet with a lack of meaningful links.<\/p>\n
