Swansea’s reward for reaching the Second Round of the Carling Cup is a home tie with Reading. The 2-0 win over Walsall sent the Swans into the second round for the first time in 8 years on Tuesday night and in the draw, made Wednesday on Sky Sports, the Swans were paired with the Premiership side. It will be the third time the Swans have drawn the Royals in Cup competitions in four seasons – we lost in the FA Cup in a replay in 2004/5 and in the league cup just over six months later.
