The former Swansea City striker will line up against the club he was adored at for the first time since his million pound move last summer to Ashton Gate.

โ€œIt will be strange,โ€ Trundle told the Western Mail.

โ€œIt will be strange just because itโ€™s going to mean playing against a club that means so much to me.

โ€œAnd I can say this 100 per cent, thereโ€™s no way Iโ€™d ever celebrate if I scored.

โ€œIt would be walk back to the halfway line and start again.

โ€œAs a professional footballer, you have to do a job, but that doesnโ€™t stop you having feelings.

โ€œI love Swansea City as a club so thereโ€™s no way that Iโ€™d rub it into the fans that have meant so much to me.

โ€œSo I know sometimes you can say you are looking forward to the match โ€“ but at the moment Iโ€™m about 50-50.

โ€œI was so pleased to see the lads do well last year and thereโ€™s no regrets over leaving because of that,โ€ said Trundle.

โ€œFootballโ€™s not about ifs or buts โ€“ when chances come up that are too good to turn down, you donโ€™t turn them down.

โ€œBut I never got a chance to say goodbye because the move happened in pre-season.

โ€œSo hopefully I will get a good reception because Swansea is a club I love and the fans meant a big part to me.

โ€œItโ€™s been tough,โ€ said Trundle, who has seen Adebola, John, Nicky Maynard, Darren Byfield and John Akinde all added to Johnsonโ€™s forward line since his big-money arrival. โ€œIโ€™ve been in and out of the side this season.

โ€œIโ€™ve only started four games and played in different positions and it has been hard.

โ€œItโ€™s been difficult, but I hope I get the chance to start on Saturday.

โ€œSwansea are doing really well, but I always knew that would be the case.

โ€œThey like to get the ball down and play football. Thatโ€™s the way Roberto has got them playing and I knew they would do well this year.

โ€œI still speak to a few of the lads. I was there for four years and had four great years, so I made a lot of friends, in and out of football

โ€œI enjoyed my football there, I enjoyed my life there. So I would never, never rule out a chance to go back.โ€
