The Swansea City manager will lead his side into the FA Cup this weekend with a tie against Histon – already giant killers this season having despatched both Swindon Town and Leeds United.

And ever the prepared man, Roberto has done his homework on the non league side and believes that the lack of live TV coverage for the game means that the TV companies believe that there is little chance of an upset.

Speaking to the Western Mail, Roberto said โ€œWe know that we canโ€™t really be ourselves in these type of games

โ€œLast season, thatโ€™s what we tried to do, play our own style.

โ€œWe need to realise that sometimes you need to find a way to win football games, rather than rely on the performance and try and be pretty.

โ€œThere are certain moments when you need to make sure that you do the โ€˜uglyโ€™ things in the game.

โ€œAnd the way we are as a football team, that is hard to do.

โ€œItโ€™ll be completely different to any game this season

โ€œBut weโ€™ve watched them two or three times and had plenty of reports, and weโ€™re preparing the same way as we would for any match. We need to make sure we know what weโ€™re going to face, know how we can impose ourselves.

โ€œWe need to be strong, dominate the game and weโ€™re aware of their dangers.

โ€œIt is a massive date in the football calendar โ€“ and itโ€™s the first time in a long while that weโ€™ve had a bye into the third round.

โ€œPreviously, we had to work very hard through the earlier rounds to get this far, so we canโ€™t take it lightly.

โ€œI was surprised, I must admit, when it wasnโ€™t selected for live coverage,โ€ he said.

โ€œIn a way, Iโ€™m delighted because when the cameras are there, they are looking for the headlines, for the non-league side to create a shock.

โ€œMaybe they donโ€™t think thereโ€™s much chance of that happening.โ€
