The Swansea City striker scored once in each half as the team put behind them eight successive draws with a win at play off chasing Burnley – a win that lifted them into 10th place – just six points off 6th place.

The result was finally a win for the Swans after so many deserved wins were turned into draws in recent weeks and that Scotland believes is what was needed and they can push on from here.

Speaking to the Western Mail, Scotland said โ€œIt feels good in the dressing room

โ€œThere is a lot of belief and now we have to try and get more wins to climb up the table.

โ€œWe are taking it one game at a time, but we will try to get in the play-off spots.

โ€œItโ€™s certainly possible for us.

โ€œThere are some tough teams in this division and Reading will be a tough challenge next week. But we are looking up and hopefully we can break into the top six.

โ€œTo get the three points is massive after the run of draws

โ€œTo get it at a tough place like Turf Moor is brilliant. We would probably have been happy with a draw coming here.

โ€œWe have seen Premiership teams come and get destroyed, so we knew it would be a tough game. Itโ€™s nice to get the monkey off our backs now.โ€
