Pratley was finally able to get his season underway in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw at Doncaster – a second half substitute appearance gave the Swans fans a brief glimpse of what they have been missing and – more importantly – what they can look forward to now the midfielder is back.
An operation and a bout of mumps had kept him sidelined season to date but now that is over, Pratley is keen to get on with things as he told the Western Mail โThe run of injuries has just been a joke
โIt feels like everyone has been injured.
โYou look in the physio room and everyone is there. Obviously there have been long-term absentees, but there are a lot of stupid little niggly injuries as well.
โIt just seems like whenever we get someone back, someone different is out. Hopefully we will have some more options against QPR on Saturday.
โJust to get minutes under my belt before the international break is really good.
โThe timing is good with all the injury problems. With Ferrie, Leon and Andrea all out, we are light in numbers.
โI felt quite energetic as well. I know I still need to get match fit though.
โI need games and minutes, I’m not stupid enough to think that I donโt. Hopefully I can get some more on Saturday.
โWith the way I play I know Iโm not at my peak yet. But the only way Iโm going to get there is getting more games under my belt.โ
