The on loan Bristol City striker has scored twice since returning to the club in the summer on loan and is desperate to add to his tally against the high-flying Bluebirds.

โ€œItโ€™s going to be special,โ€ says Trundle.

โ€œIโ€™m desperate to be involved. It was my big regret when I left that Iโ€™d never experienced a derby game.

โ€œI played against Cardiff for Bristol City and thereโ€™s a bit of a rivalry there but itโ€™s nothing compared to this.

โ€œWhen you live in the area for a while it doesnโ€™t take you long to realise what the game means to people.

โ€œAnd when you hear players from both sides talking about the games that have gone on before, itโ€™s easy to see what a big derby it is.

โ€œAll the passion, the noise, itโ€™s everything you want. I never got that chance when I was here the first time; now Iโ€™m desperate for it.

โ€œItโ€™s been okay coming off the bench and Iโ€™ve managed to get a couple of goals, which is great for me.

โ€œBut Iโ€™ve made no secret of the fact that I want my long-term future to be here and to make that happen I need to be out on the pitch producing the goods, showing what I can do. Iโ€™ll take every chance I can get because staying here is what I want more than anything.

โ€œIf I keep getting out there, keep adding up the goals hopefully Iโ€™ll do enough.

โ€œBut I know to get a winning goal in the derby will be huge and perhaps thatโ€™s what I need to keep me here.

โ€œWhat happened, happened. I know things are going to get brought up again because it will be the first time Iโ€™ve played against them for Swansea.

โ€œBut itโ€™s gone and this game is more about me getting on with my football and me earning the right to stay at this club. It wonโ€™t be playing on my mind.”
