The on loan Bristol City striker has scored twice since returning to the club in the summer on loan and is desperate to add to his tally against the high-flying Bluebirds.
โItโs going to be special,โ says Trundle.
โIโm desperate to be involved. It was my big regret when I left that Iโd never experienced a derby game.
โI played against Cardiff for Bristol City and thereโs a bit of a rivalry there but itโs nothing compared to this.
โWhen you live in the area for a while it doesnโt take you long to realise what the game means to people.
โAnd when you hear players from both sides talking about the games that have gone on before, itโs easy to see what a big derby it is.
โAll the passion, the noise, itโs everything you want. I never got that chance when I was here the first time; now Iโm desperate for it.
โItโs been okay coming off the bench and Iโve managed to get a couple of goals, which is great for me.
โBut Iโve made no secret of the fact that I want my long-term future to be here and to make that happen I need to be out on the pitch producing the goods, showing what I can do. Iโll take every chance I can get because staying here is what I want more than anything.
โIf I keep getting out there, keep adding up the goals hopefully Iโll do enough.
โBut I know to get a winning goal in the derby will be huge and perhaps thatโs what I need to keep me here.
โWhat happened, happened. I know things are going to get brought up again because it will be the first time Iโve played against them for Swansea.
โBut itโs gone and this game is more about me getting on with my football and me earning the right to stay at this club. It wonโt be playing on my mind.”
