Games come thick and fast at this stage of the season and Swansea City travel to Crystal Palace on Tuesday, host Newcastle on Saturday and then follow up with away games at Plymouth and Derby in the seven days after that in a period that will very much test their promotion credentials.
Three road trips in four mean that the league table could make very pleasant reading if the Swans can secure a couple of victories in that period.
And Cotterill, who scored one and created one on Saturday believes that they can push on from the Preston win and keep their momentum going.
โI think it was a good performance, but we need to keep hitting those levels,” he told the Western Mail
โWeโve not been at our best recently, but we stayed in the top six which is important โ and getting the win here has meant thereโs a few points between us and seventh now.
โSo we have to use the confidence from this result and look to push on again, starting with Tuesday and Palace.
โThereโs been a lot of talk about the lack of goals and its fair because we havenโt scored enough at times this season.
โBut weโve taken a step in the right direction, played well and got our goals so itโs up to us to keep building. And if we can hit the same kind of levels we showed against Preston we can do a lot in this league.โ
