The Swansea City manager takes his side to Forest tomorrow looking toย halt a run that has seen the Swans beaten in their last seven league outings on the road and continue what appears to be an impressive march up the table.

And with goals no longer seemingly at a premium at the Liberty, Rodgers was quick to talk up the quality of his strike options.

โ€œThere is a core of players here, but at this level you need that freshness, especially in the front areas of the field,โ€ added Rodgers. โ€œThe idea is to give the competition to the squad.

โ€œFrank has got a physical quality that can disturb opponents. He is very young and sometimes it can change the momentum of the game.

โ€œHe is a big boy with a lot of good attributes, heโ€™s got good pace, power and that can add something different to the team.

โ€œDobbie has got different qualities. Heโ€™s a wonderful finisher and links up the game well in terms of his set-up play.

โ€œAnd, 25 yards out from goal, he is a major threat from both sides.

โ€œWeโ€™ve also got Craig Beattie, who is coming back after being out for a long time, and the idea would be to add another striker a bit further down the line to give us more support.

โ€œItโ€™s good that weโ€™ve got competition and when you are a good player you enjoy competition. It keeps everyone on their toes.โ€
