The Swansea City manager will pitch his side against the division’s only unbeaten record when their visitors arrive this evening.

QPR have been in fine form this season with 27 points to date and a four point lead at the top of the division to boot.

But that Rodgers is using as motivation for his side as he explained to the Western Mail โ€œIt is a great motivation for us.

โ€œThey are the leaders coming with an unbeaten record and we have not lost at home. So it makes for a fantastic game.

โ€œBut it also makes for a severe test of our abilities.

โ€œWhen you play the leaders โ€“ first versus fourth โ€“ itโ€™s a big game and we are looking forward to it.

โ€œQPR have a very strong squad. Tommy Smith went there recently, and I know him well from my time at Watford. But Tommy canโ€™t get in the team.

โ€œWhen I was at Watford, probably alongside Kevin Doyle at Reading, he was one of the most effective players in the Championship.

โ€œSo if he is not getting in the side itโ€™s a mark of how well theyโ€™ve been doing.

โ€œBut we are very strong at home and I have great confidence in this group.

โ€œWeโ€™ve a great belief here in how we play the game.โ€

Rodgers was also giving raise to the man who will sit in the opposite dugout this evening.

Neil Warnock joined QPR last season and is clearly a man that Rodgers has admiration from when he said โ€œI love him, heโ€™s great. I always have a laugh with him

โ€œI have a great respect for him. He is a manager into his 60s now and has over 1,000 games as a manager.

โ€œYou donโ€™t have that many games as a manager unless you are successful.

โ€œIt doesnโ€™t matter what people say about him because his players always want to work for him.

โ€œThe teams he has always work very hard and he gets a response.โ€
