Trundle admits that Sinclair is the kind of player who you would happily pay money to go and watch with Scott having grabbed 11 goals so far this short timespan into his spell at the club.

And as the Swans prepare for the first South Wales derby of the season, Trundle admits he will be cheering as loud as anyone should Sinclair continue that form on Sunday.

โ€œHeโ€™s a real asset, everything about him has really impressed me. His touch is superb and then youโ€™ve got that pace โ€“ he is just quality.

โ€œThen youโ€™ve got the fact heโ€™s already got 11 goals to his name. Thatโ€™s impressive in itself but when you consider most of his work is out wide it says something.

โ€œHis speed is something that stands out but itโ€™s his touch and awareness that puts him into the right areas and then he has the ability to beat defenders.

โ€œWhen you add that pace on top then heโ€™s almost unplayable.

โ€œFor me, thatโ€™s what footballโ€™s about and heโ€™s someone who excites you when he goes past people.

โ€œYouโ€™re always going to get the fans behind you when you score goals but itโ€™s the way heโ€™s playing that makes him a bit special.

โ€œI was always appreciative of the support I got at Swansea when I tried to be a bit different.

โ€œBut if he does it in the derby then heโ€™ll be a real hero โ€“ and Iโ€™ll be cheering as much as anyone.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s the perfect stage for him,โ€ he adds. โ€œEveryone will have noticed how heโ€™s started and taken a few of the headlines but in such a big game and with it being televised then he can really show what heโ€™s made of on Sunday.

โ€œHeโ€™s settled in brilliantly but I think thereโ€™s more to come from him and heโ€™s got a great chance to show that.

โ€œIโ€™m sure the other lads in the team have been telling him what the game means to the supporters and being in the city heโ€™ll have already been caught up in how important it is to both sides โ€“ even more so now with where the two teams are in the table.

โ€œBut players like him shine on the big stage and Iโ€™m sure heโ€™ll do the same, hopefully with a couple of goals.”
