The Swansea City manager heads into his first taste of South Wales derby action with his side sitting comfotably in 3rd place in the Championship table.

But with Cardiff 2 points clear at the top and with home advantage, Rodgers knows that it makes the Swans the underdogs as he explained to the Western Mail

โ€œWe are underdogs and that suits us perfectly because weโ€™re happy to quietly get on with our work.

โ€œWeโ€™re not getting talked about as much, but maybe people donโ€™t know about us. Maybe they donโ€™t come down to Swansea because we donโ€™t boast about what we are going to do and that doesnโ€™t make headlines.

โ€œBut my players will be happy to do their talking on the pitch.

โ€œBeing top brings its own pressure โ€“ and then there is the expectancy of promotion.

โ€œFor us this is only the third season in the Championship. We have got players who are still getting attuned to the division.

โ€œSo this is a real, real test, but every test weโ€™ve had so far weโ€™ve stood up.โ€
