The Swansea City defender will today be tasked with keeping quiet a Cardiff City attack that contains Michael Chopra, Craig Bellamy and Jay Bothroyd.ย ย  Described as the best forward line in the Championshp, Williams will be looking to help keep them quiet for the second time this season – having seen them shut out in the first game at the Cardiff City Stadium.

And he also believes that Scott Sinclair, Nathan Dyer and Luke Moore can be equally as dangerous for opponents.

Williams told Wales on Sunday โ€œEveryone talks about Cardiffโ€™s front players โ€“ and itโ€™s fair enough because Bellamy, Chopra and Bothroyd would probably walk into any Premier League squad.

โ€œI think Bothroyd is one of the best in the league and it will be good to go up against him after he missed the first game.

โ€œThen you throw in people who can create from midfield like Aaron Ramsey and you can see why they get a lot of headlines.

โ€œBut I think the guys weโ€™ve got up front are top players in their own right.

โ€œIf anyoneโ€™s watched us they will know our wide players have been brilliant all season and have been major threats.

โ€œA lot of wingers can be accused of not keeping consistency and can flit in and out of a campaign.

โ€œBut you look at the way Nath and Scotty have played and theyโ€™ve been on their games every week. They deserve massive credit.

โ€œItโ€™s going to happen for Luke a lot sooner rather than later.

โ€œHeโ€™s a good, good player and he possesses a lot of skills you canโ€™t teach. People can point to the fact he hasnโ€™t scored yet but heโ€™s doing his job bringing others into the game brilliantly and thatโ€™s probably more important in our team.

โ€œHe showed what he can do against Bristol City but he will also be a goal threat.

โ€œIโ€™m sure he can be a big hit for us and a bit of a star.

โ€œWeโ€™re very much a team and we put that first, but Iโ€™m not sure itโ€™s an argument to say Cardiff v Swansea is the individual stars against a team of hard workers.

โ€œI think a lot of the lads have made names for themselves by what weโ€™ve done as a side and are individual threats in their own right.

โ€œWeโ€™ve come together as a team but thatโ€™s allowed players to shine. However you want to put it, itโ€™s two good sides going for it.

โ€œEvery one has been getting bigger and bigger,โ€ he admitted.

โ€œThatโ€™s not people just hyping it up because you only have to look at the positions weโ€™re in to see itโ€™s right.

โ€œBut then again, we could both be playing Norwich and it would be a huge game.

โ€œThe fact is we are two teams right up the top of the league going head-to-head. We both want the points and stop the other team taking them.

โ€œIt should be a great game and none of us can wait because we know what it means.โ€
