The Swans return home from the pre-season tour with a win and two draws under their belt but it was a group of missed chances that Clement was reflecting on at the end of the game when he spoke to the official site to share his thoughts.

รขโ‚ฌล“We made hard work of the game at times tonight,รขโ‚ฌย he said.

รขโ‚ฌล“We got in behind them early on, but for some reason our level of play deteriorated.

รขโ‚ฌล“In the second half we started okay. Then I made the changes and it became very stretched and disorganised in the end รขโ‚ฌโ€œ it was almost like a basketball game with it going end to end.

รขโ‚ฌล“I am surprised it ended 0-0 because we had a lot of chances. They played three different goalkeepers and each of them pulled off many saves.

รขโ‚ฌล“It is unbelievable we didnรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt convert any of our chances.

รขโ‚ฌล“We limited them to one good opportunity in the first half and a half chance in the second half, so that was an encouraging element of our game.รขโ‚ฌย

Clement now has just under three weeks to prepare his side for their opening Premier League fixture at Southampton on August 12th and has an away fixture at Birmingham next Saturday before wrapping up pre-season at home to Sampdoria on August 5th.

He also returns home to try and work out the Gylfi Sigurdsson position with the midfielder not travelling to the States as speculation over a move to Everton intensifies.
