As you would expect Steve Cooper was a happy man with his team’s performance today as they continued their unbeaten start to the season thanks to a 2-0 win over Wycombe at Adams Park.

Goals from Andre Ayew and Jamal Lowe in the first half were enough for the Swans to secure the win but it could – and probably should – have been more in a dominant performance from the Swans.

Lowe, Ayew, Bidwell and Gibbs-White were all guilty of missing chances which on another day could have been finished but when you have started unbeaten in your opening three games without conceding it is difficult to be too critical of any side.

We are really pleased with the result and performance. We would have liked to have carried the way we played on into the second half, and that was certainly the intention at half-time.

We wanted to stay on the front foot and put the game to bed, but obviously legs can get a bit tired.

First half, we looked like the team I want us to be and I hope that can help with momentum and we can take it into our next week of training” – Steve Cooper
