Swansea City Ladies moved a step closer to a league and cup double last night as they beat Aberystwyth Town in their semi-final after extra time to progress to the final next week.

The Swans progressed after Tania Wylde and Hannah Pusey both hit the woodwork for Aberystwyth in the first half, while Swanseaโ€™s Katie Hosford was denied a late winner by the post.

The Swans eventually made the breakthrough a couple of minutes into extra-time, with a close range finish from Stacey John-Davis.

They got their second ten minutes later, Chloe Chivers with the assist and John-Davis again with the goal.

The Swans are already going head to head with Cardiff on Sunday where they could secure the league title.

Now we have to hope that the first team can match the ladies and reach their own final!
