The Swans are being reported as eyeing up another close to ยฃ1m purchase of a striker, this time Dutch striker Joel Piroe from PSV Eindhoven.

Wales Online are reporting that Piroe is the man the Swans have targeted to lead their forward line next season and hopefully fire the goals for another chase at promotion having missed out in the play offs two seasons running.

The Netherlands Under-20 international has one year left to run on his contract with PSV Eindhoven.

The Swans have also been linked with a move for Thomas Henry but any deal for that player will depend on someone leaving the Liberty and it becomes clear that the Swans have other options available to secure new signings.

With a deal for Wigan youngster Kyle Joseph seemingly in the bag the signing of Piroe would give us further options up front and surely finish the plans in that area of the pitch, plans elsewhere dependent to start with on potential departures from the Liberty.
