Manchester City defender Finley Burns is to join Swansea City on loan for the rest of the season according to a BBC report.

Burns was first linked with us on loan just before Christmas and is described by his parent club as aย โ€œComposed, towering defenderโ€ and made his debut earlier this season in an EFL Cup game against Wycombe, a game that City won 6-1.ย  ย He has won international honours for England at Under-18 level.

Burnsย  has come through the ranks at City after joining from Southend when aged 13 and signed a new deal at the Ethiad earlier this season that runs until 2027.

Burns will complete his move before Monday’s transfer deadline and could be in consideration for the visit of Luton on Tuesday.ย  ย It is also reported that the signing of Burns could open the door for Brandon Cooper to leave on loan before the deadline.
