Swansea City go into today’s game against relegation threatened Barnsley looking for a fourth consecutive win and to close to gap on the top six.

The Swans have virtually a full squad to pick from although Flynn Downes is touch and go and is therefore most likely to start on Monday at Reading rather than today.

Barnsley will put up a strong fight as they bid to avoid relegation as they did on the final day of the 2019/20 season.

Swans boss Russell Martin

โ€œThe squad is looking really good, and we are pretty much the same as we have been.

โ€œI think there will be lots of changes over the two games, but we are in a good place physically and mentally.

โ€œWe have had a good few days of preparation, we have digested last week, which was obviously a really good week for us.

Barnsley boss Poya Asbaghi

โ€œTheyโ€™re a very unique team in this league, there arenโ€™t many sides who play this way and we know we arenโ€™t going to beat them at possession, at keeping the ball.

โ€œBut what we can do is work harder than they can to make sure that when we do have the ball, we punish them.

โ€œAnd we have players with the talent to hurt them. But again, we must give 100% and if we get the win we need, then it can be perfect for us in terms of momentum, to hopefully give us a chance to keep our season alive.โ€
