The Swans welcome Blackburn Rovers to the Swansea.com stadium tomorrow for their first home game of the season and the chance to build on last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Rotherham.

The overall record between the two teams shows the Swans trailing slightly with Blackburn ahead 23-16 in head to head matches with 8 draws.

In recent times though the record is much more in favour of the Swans with Blackburn’s only win in the last eight being on the corresponding weekend last season when they inflicted a 2-1 defeat on Russell Martin in his first game in charge.

Michael Obafemi’s 16th minute goal back in February was enough to settle this fixture last season, the lowest scoring game of the last 12 meetings between these sides which has produced a total of 40 goals in those 12 games.

There has only ever been one 0-0 draw between the sides – a clash at Ewood Park back in our promotion winning season of 1980/81.
