Lee Buchanan has “left Werder Bremen’s pre-season camp in Austria to have final talks with another club and complete the pending medical” but is he on his way to Swansea?

We reported last week that Buchanan would sign on at Swansea and it now seems that, barring last minute hitches, this could be the case although Birmingham World report that there could be another team involved as well as the Swans and the Blues.

The signature of Buchanan would make four new signings already in SA1 with all signs pointing to the fact that we are also close to a couple of loan signings that could well be confirmed before the close season is too much older.

The 22-year-old left Derby last summer despite gaining interest from a number of English clubs.

Buchanan scored his first goal or Bremen in a shock 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund last term.

The youngster has a wealth of Championship experience after making 70 appearances for his boyhood club Derby.

He also has international experience after receiving his first England U19 call up in 2019 against France.ย In the following year he would make his debut for the England U20s during a 2-0 victory over Wales.

He did only start twice last season for Bremen with nineteen league appearances as a substitute.

Is Lee likely to be YJB real soon?
