Pascoe Back At The Vetch

Former Swans favourite Colin Pascoe is back at the Vetch on a part time basis assisting Kenny Jackett on the training pitch.

Pascoe, 39, was a youth coach at Cardiff City but currently is a coach at Port Talbot Town where he will also remain whilst also working with the Swans.

Pascoe’s appointment is initially for two months whilst physio Richie Evans is working to become a chartered physiotherapist.

"Colin is somebody I played with for the Welsh Under-21s and at senior level and I think he will be able to help us," Jackett explained to the Evening Post "He recently left Cardiff after five and a half years on their coaching staff so he has the experience. "He is also an ex-Swansea player so I felt he was the right man.

"Richie will be around in the evenings and on matchdays while Colin will be helping me with the coaching," the Swansea boss added. "He will be around as and when required really but he won’t be joining us on matchdays because of his job at Port Talbot. "Kevin Nugent (player assistant-manager) has played a couple of games and has been on the bench for the rest, so I felt we could have been a little short on bodies."

Pascoe had three spells at the Vetch as a player, making over 300 appearances in a Swans shirt and finding the net on 65 occasions.
