The Cardiff City fan and midfielder grabbed a late equaliser in the first half at the Liberty Stadium although he was replaced in the second half as Cardiff re-organised as they tried to ensure they left with just a point.

Ledley’s joy was there for all to see just minutes after he had missed another chance to bring the Bluebirds level as they enjoyed their only real spell of continued pressure in the game.

Speaking after the match, Ledley told the South Wales echo โ€œThe Swans fans gave me some stick because they know Iโ€™m a Cardiff boy

โ€œSo I took great pleasure in scoring against them!

โ€œItโ€™s just a pity it wasnโ€™t the winner.

โ€œIt was a special moment, donโ€™t get me wrong.

โ€œBut it didnโ€™t give me as much satisfaction as scoring the winner in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

โ€œIt will take something a bit special to beat that.

โ€œThe first chance jumped up at me a bit

โ€œBut, when the next one fell to me, I had to shoot from where I was inside the area.

โ€œI caught it on the half-volley and it flew in.โ€

โ€œThe finger is fine,โ€ he insisted.

โ€œI didnโ€™t feel a thing.

โ€œThe medical staff did really well and the cast did its job.โ€
