The Swansea City midfielder returns from a one match suspension earned for his red card against Cardiff and admits that he wants to get one over on Barnsley to push away the memories of that penalty defeat.

Speaking in the Western Mail, Britton said โ€œThat play-off was one of the worst moments of my career.

โ€œWe were just a couple of kicks away from the Championship and lost โ€“ it was a horrible day to be involved in.

โ€œBut weโ€™re much better placed for this division than we would have been a couple of years ago. And the biggest difference has been the impact Roberto has had.

โ€œHeโ€™s changed the whole philosophy of the club and weโ€™ve moved on tremendously because of that.

โ€œItโ€™s strange โ€“ weโ€™ve had three draws, but havenโ€™t fallen away massively from the play-offs.

โ€œWeโ€™re still there and weโ€™ve got to look at these two home games against Barnsley and Sheffield United as a chance to pick up a couple of wins.โ€

Roberto though was focusing on the league challenge rather than worrying about what happened in the past when he said

โ€œObviously it was a huge disappointment and it was difficult to take,โ€ he said.

โ€œBut weโ€™ve learned a lot and weโ€™re in a different situation.

โ€œWeโ€™ll keep that game at the Millennium Stadium as part of our history, but it shouldnโ€™t affect our present and our future.

โ€œThe reality is that Barnsley are a side who have been getting results when nobody has expected them to.

โ€œThey have talented individuals and can surprise anyone, and that makes them very dangerous.โ€
