The Swansea City manager has seen his side fail to win a game since they lost influential midfielder Ferrie Bodde for the season.
Bodde was stretchered off in the home defeat to Birmingham with cruicate ligament damage that will mean he is unable to play again until next August.
Since then the Swans have managed a run of six successive draws despite dominating large numbers of the games but Roberto says that it is clear enough that they are not a one man team.
โItโs quite clear we are not a one-man team,โ Martinez told the Western Mail. โWhen you lose players who are performing at the top of their game then you are going to miss them, but that is not just Ferrie it is many players.
โI donโt think it is just because of the fact we lost Ferrie. We lost Ferrie, then we lost Leon Britton through suspension, we lost Darren Pratley through suspension, we lost Fede Bessone, then we lost Stephen OโHalloran. It has been one after another.
โThere has been a lot of inconsistency in that respect and that effects the situation.
โIt is true that if you open the paper or listen to people then they mention that. It is a coincidence in that respect.
โBut it is not annoying the players at all because the squad we have is very mature. It is ready to go through any challenge.
โI think it is a case of too many factors going in the same direction, but the other players have shown great responsibility.
โItโs been a great learning curve,โ said Martinez.
โThe performance at Blackpool in the way we controlled the first half was very pleasing and the amount of chances we created after scoring too.
โWe need to win these sort of games, but we are nearly there which is a great sign.
โYou can see the players getting real frustrated for not winning games which is a great thing when you remember that we just got promoted.
โWe are delighted with the way things have gone so far and now we want to get the win that the boys deserve.
โThe work in training helps because it helps the confidence and helps the know-how in a game,โ said Martinez.
โWe have been suffering from instability and that effects the killer instinct, but out of the last seven games the last two have seen a huge step up in our performance.
โWe need to keep that level of performance going and then the results will come, I can guarantee you that.โ
