The Swansea City midfielder has found himself in a central role in recent games with Nathan Dyer, Tom Butler and Cedric Van Der Gun all being used in the wide positions.
And to cap that with his first competitive goal for the Swans and you have a very happy midfielder on your hands at this current moment in time.
Gower told the Western Mail โIf youโre playing youโve got to be happy and I donโt care if I play right-back
โIโm delighted to be in the team, but I get a lot more of the ball in that position.
โYouโve got to have greater discipline because youโve got to track runners and thereโs a lot more positional play.
โYou can never switch off and itโs a bit more difficult in that sense.
โBut I love it because I feel a lot more involved in the game and can get on the ball more.
โThereโs a good mixture in there with the way Leon (Britton) breaks it up and the energy of Prats (Darren Pratley).
โI like to think I complement them with my quality on the ball, find some passes and link the play up.
โWeโre dominating games possession-wise and itโs working well at the moment.
โI feel a lot more confident,โ he said. โThe goal was a long time coming but I can move on now.
โIt would be nice to get a few more, but I feel my form has come together in the last few weeks and Iโm playing the way I should. The goal has helped my confidence and I feel I can push on from there.
โItโs the old cliche, but once you get one or two goals in I think weโll score a few more,โ he said.
โWeโve got enough in the tank to know the goals will come, weโve got players who can score and we look dangerous from set-pieces, so I think the system does work.
โThe only thing wrong with the actual performance on Saturday is that there wasnโt a goal at the end of it.
โWe played some good stuff and kept knocking on the door but it didnโt just happen for us.
โI donโt know if we were hesitant in front of goal but if you are defenders pounce on you at this level.
โWeโre little more than one win away from the play-offs so thereโs everything to play for,โ said Gower, explaining confidence is high in the Swans camp after an eight-game unbeaten run.
โThis is a division where anyone can beat anyone, so if you go eight games without losing you are doing something right.
โWeโve improved from early on in the campaign when we were leaking goals and losing points.
โNow weโre disappointed when we donโt win games so weโre going in the right direction.
โEvery team is built from a good defence and weโve conceded the least amount of goals in the division.
โThe boys at the back have been terrific, hopefully we can get a few goals and it will snowball from there.โ
