Mel Nurse has handed Swansea City Supporters Trust a cheque for ยฃ500 as the proceeds of his recent book โMel Nurse โ Mr Swanseaโ
Nurse made the presentation to Trust Chairman Phil Sumbler and Supporter Director Huw Cooze at his business premises in Swansea.
Explaining the decision, Mel said โDirectors, players and managers come and go.ย ย But there is one thing that is always constant and that is the supporters.ย ย
โThis cheque is to help towards the continuing good work the Trust do on behalf of the supporters.โ
Phil Sumbler added โMel Nurse is already a legend in Swansea for the work that he has done on two occasions to ensure the longevity of the football club.
โThis is a tremendous gesture from Mel and on behalf of Swans Trust members everywhere I thank him from the bottom of my heartโ
Huw Cooze, the Trust representative on the football club board agreed and said โMelโs words echo our beliefs in that the supporters have been with the club through thick and thin and donations such as this one will allow us to continue the work we undertake on this front.
