The Swansea City defender was a little disappointed that the watching TV masses did not get to see the Swans at their fluent best despite their domination of the game whichw as settled by Marvin Emnes second half strike.
Speaking to the Western Mail when looking back at the game, Ash said โI donโt think we played the Swansea way
โWhen you consider that a lot of people around the world would have watched it, thatโs a little disappointing.
โI think we played well but we didnโt really see our true style as we might have done at home.
โWe just did what was required for this one, we equipped ourselves well.
โAnd perhaps thatโs the difference for us this year.
โIโd much rather win 1-0 and have to change our style slightly for a certain game or two than play brilliantly and listen to people tell us itโs like watching Arsenal and then go and lose 1-0.
โBut weโve done it a couple of times this year where weโve done whatโs been needed in different circumstances.
โWe were different at Palace last week and weโll probably be different at home for games.
โI think thatโs credit to the manager and the players learning together as a unit.
โI think we can sustain it.
โWe learned a lot of lessons from last year and you could see that against Cardiff.
โWe went 1-0 up last year too but we were so much more in control and comfortable this time.โ
