The Swansea City manager was of course disappointed that Cardiff City had triumphed at the Liberty but in the same way he was refusing to dwell on the defeat and knows he still has a real chance of history at the club.

Brendan told the Western Mail โ€œMy interest is in ourselves to recover well and get back to winning ways.

โ€œWeโ€™ve got 16 games to go โ€“ 16 cup finals โ€“and weโ€™ll look to regroup during the week.

โ€œThis game has come down to one individual piece of quality and it didnโ€™t go our way.

โ€œBut hopefully weโ€™ll have plenty of good days in the big games to come.

โ€œCardiff probably edged it on chances but as it went on more and more it looked as if it was only going to a matter of time before we scored.

โ€œI felt we were getting there with some good bits of play and Scott Sinclair was a real threat as the game went on.

โ€œWe got him through some times and looked to get that final ball. It looked as if it was coming.

โ€œWe were starting to find that space in the second half and cause them problems but what can you do against a goal like that?โ€
