Mark Gower refused to get too downbeat after he missed a glorious chance to snatch a famous victory for the Swans

Gower blasted over the bar with less than ten minutes to go at Anfield after some superb work from both Nathan Dyer and Danny Graham.

He said after the gameโ€œDannyโ€™s knocked down a great ball to me and I think the Kop just looked a bit bigger and the goal a bit smaller.

โ€œIt was on my weaker side, but Iโ€™m disappointed not to hit the target from there.

โ€œIโ€™ve seen it again and it was a bit harder than I thought it was, but I should be hitting the target.

โ€œIโ€™m disappointed, but it wonโ€™t take away from what was a great performance and a great result.

โ€œI will think about the chance for a little while because how often do you get to score the winner at Anfield, at the Kop end? But I was proud of everyone today and thought we thoroughly deserved a point.โ€
