It’s busy times at the Liberty Stadium at the moment as Steve Cooper works towards the final squad that he wants for the season ahead and news today is that Kristoffer Peterson is on his way out of the club – heading to Germany and Fortuna Dusseldorf.

The fee is reported at being somewhere in the region of ยฃ400,000 plus add ons and will bring to an end a disappointing time in South Wales for the wide man who spent the second half of last season on loan at Utrecht.

Peterson was signed for the Swans by Steve Cooper for a fee that was around ยฃ500,000 and could have risen to a million but he never settled in Swansea and never delivered during his time in the first team which was very limited it has to be added.

One goal in the league cup was the total return of a time here that included just 8 starts and 4 substitute appearances says it all in what was a bad signing and someone who just never worked out for us.

Moving him on 12 months later for broadly the same fee we paid though has repaired some of the wasted money and taken one outgoing off the wage bill which is key at this point in time.

Dusseldorf are managed by former Man City striker Uwe Rosler.
