The Swans welcome play off chasing Middlesbrough to the Swansea.com stadium tomorrow looking to extend a run of seven games unbeaten and put another dent in the promotion hopes of Chris Wilder’s side who lost to Huddersfield last time out.

It will be the 52nd meeting between the two sides with the Swans victorious on 19 occasions previously and Boro 21.ย  ย Boro have not won in SA1 since 2009 when they triumphed 3-0 against the Swans, since then they have played 6 matches down here, losing 5 and drawing 1 including of course the Capital One Cup quarter final match on our run to winning the trophy in 2013.

Boro’s overall recent record against the Swans is not strong – just 4 wins in the last 17 meetings tells its own story but with pressure on them to deliver tomorrow it could prove to be a tougher test for Russell Martin and his side than recent form from the visitors suggests.

The Swans won the corresponding clash last season 2-1- a game of course remembered for a late penalty that angered Neil Warnock, then in charge at the Riverside.
