Yesterday’s media reports linked the Swans with a move for Leeds United youngster Mateo Joseph who is tipped to leave Elland Road on loan this summer.

The links seem, on the immediate face of it, to have no substance and look like one of those news reports where a link is made to try and increase supposed interest in a player to try and generate a move.

The same reports suggest interest from across Europe with the Swans named alongside Sampdoria and Wolfsburg although it also references clubs in France may also be interested.

Leeds signed Joseph last season from Espanyol and whilst he made six appearances for Leeds last year he is not expected to get regular first team football this season and that has supposedly alerted clubs who see him as a good loan signing.

Joseph has played his part in Leeds pre-season fixtures and it is also reported that Daniel Farke will not make any decision until he is convinced that Joseph is definitely not in his plans for the new season.

For me though this can be filed away as press speculation without substance.ย  ย For now anyway!
