Swansea City consider a move for free agent Yannick Bolasie who has been training with the club.

DR Congo international Bolasie, 34, has been a free agent since leaving Turkish club Caykur Rizespor at the end of last season.

The former Plymouth and Bristol City player played for four years at Crystal Palace before moving to Everton in 2016 but things never worked out for him at Goodison with loan spells at Aston Villa, Anderlecht, Sporting and Middlesbrough during five years at Everton.

He moved to Caykur Rizespor in 2021, suffering relegation from the Turkish top flight in his first year at the club but then playing a major part in their promotion back to the highest level last season.

Now as a free agent and at the age of 34 he may not be the kind of player that the Swans would normally move for but with Josh Ginnelly out long term a short term deal could make sense for a lot of reasons.ย  ย Especially if within the Swans budget.

Been watching the Swans since the very late 1970s and running the Planet Swans website (in all its current and previous guises since the summer of 2001 As it stood JackArmy.net was right at the forefront of some of the activity against Tony Petty back in 2001, breaking many of the stories of the day as fans stood against the actions where the local media failed. Was involved with the Swans Supporters Trust from 2005, for the large part as Chairman before standing down in the summer of 2020.
