The draw for the first round of next season’s Carling Cup will take place on Thursday with Swansea one of 32 teams in the southern half of the draw.<\/p>\n

The draw has been split into two sections as normal – North and South – with the sides in each section split into a seeded and unseeded section of the draw. The unseeded sides will meet a seeded side in the first round.<\/p>\n

UEFA Cup entrants Millwall are handed a bye into the 3rd round along with all other European representatives whilst all Premiership clubs plus Leicester City are handed a bye into the second round.<\/p>\n

The details of the teams in the Southern half of the draw are as follows (seedings are worked out on league placings last season)<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
