Adrian Forbes was signed from Luton in 2004, after scoring 14 goals in League 1 the season before. Forbes has the accolade of scoring the last league goal at the Vetch in an emotion day against Shrewsbury. Forbes was signed as a winger but, more often that not, his crosses were erratic and hardly ever used to get past the first man.<\/p>\n

Forbes got off to a slow start to the season. He scored his first goal for the Swans in a 1-0 win over Mansfield in October. Forbes then started to win the fans over and scored a few more vital goals. His most important has got to be the one that secured promotion, away at Bury, in May.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see where Jackett will play Forbes this season; a striker’s role will suit him. He is very quick and has looked threatening going forward; we are not short of goals. Forbes should not find the step up too much of a problem as he played for Luton a few season’s ago. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
